I provide comprehensive psychotherapy services for adults and adolescents struggling with a wide range of symptoms, including anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, stage of life transitions, autism spectrum disorder, mood disorders, relationship problems (trust, communication and intimacy), grief and loss, stress management and trauma. I believe that by better understanding ourselves we learn to respond to situations in healthier ways. Toward this end, I continue learning and training to provide the best help that I can for clients.
I received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University and am a board certified Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). In addition to the education and training I received at Northwestern, I’ve been a Fellow at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis where I also completed a 3 year program in Adult Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
I have a particular interest in treating anxiety disorders including obsessive compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, health anxiety, and separation anxiety and recognize that they often manifest with physical symptoms. Understanding and treating the underlying cause can eliminate symptoms and dramatically improve quality of life.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative process and I appreciate the commitment it requires from both therapist and client for a successful treatment. I am passionate about my work and consider it a privilege to be of help.
